"Bioplastics for sustainable textile applications"

Each year, the textile sector produces around 1 million tonnes of fabric for the manufacture of clothing. This fabric is very difficult to recycle at the end of its useful life, as its composition has a mixture of fibres that are difficult to separate. Consumers demand less textile waste and more respect for the environment from this industry. This is why innovations have emerged that use bioplastics to create advanced fabrics for sustainable gar ments that bring added value to the consumer.

ADBioplastics offers customised solutions using its compostable and bio-based bioplastic PLA-Premium with its different grades according to the needs of each customer. Our formulation improves the properties of virgin PLA, allowing for a material with better strength, durability, elasticity and flexibility, among others. In addition, it has an excellent capacity to accept and maintain colour.

What technologies do we use?

For the textile sector we have various technologies that allow us to adapt the material to the customer’s needs. In addition, we have customised grades to achieve the perfect formulation, obtaining a PLA without limits. With this in mind, we can find:

Marks for the textile industry made of PLA-Premium from ADBioplastics.
Certificado OK Compost de TÜV Austria y certificado FCA de material apto para contacto alimentario.

What are the main applications?
