Their composition is not only biodegradable, but also, when degraded, they do not contaminate the environment, unlike conventional plastics. Additionally, bioplastics can be processed on conventional equipment with optimal results in the final product, maintaining similar properties to those of other plastics while improving the characteristics of bioplastics like virgin PLA. The final material is suitable for food contact (FCM) and also for contact with cosmetic products in compliance with current regulations.

PLA-Premium is a sustainable alternative, as it is compostable and bio-based; in fact, the material disintegrates in 3 months under industrial composting without leaving harmful residues for the environment.
