ADBioplastics will present the "sweet" bottle at #Ftalks19, the food innovation event of the year organised by KM Zero.

Together with Heis Global, he will make know this case of success at a round table moderated by the journalist Estefanía Pastor, next Thursday, September 19 at 7:50 p.m.

ADBioplastics, a Valencian bioplastic manufacturer, will participate in #ftalks19 the biggest event of the year on food organized by KM Zero, which will be held on September 19 and 20 in Valencia. There, and together with the Heis Global company with which he has developed this sustainable project, they will make know their case of success under the name sweet bottle. It involves the development and manufacture of a bottle made 100% from sugarcane, which is biodegradable and compostable to ensure the planet’s sustainability. The official presentation will be made in a round table under the name “Sustainable Packaging for Healthy Foods”, which will take place this Thursday, at 7:50 p.m. in Marina de Empresas.

Moderated by the journalist Estefanía Pastor, Companies Section Chief at Valencia Plaza, José Manuel Suárez, CEO of ADBioplastics, and Aniceto Francés, CTO of Heis Global, will participate in this gathering. “We have supplied our known PLA-Premium Bioplastic and specifically the B 5100 grade, through the blown injection technique. We are very satisfied with the final result” has explained Mr. Suárez. The tests have been done at the Heis Global facilities. This company, located in Biar (Alicante), is a biodegradable packaging manufacturer for the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries according to GMPs and within ISO6 cleanroom.

With this case of success, both companies want to highlight the advantages of staking on the circular economy, in the productive processes of companies and more specifically, for the use of bioplastics to make a greener planet. The ADBioplastics product is not only biodegradable but compostable, which means that it breaks downs at 90% in just six months, becoming CO2, water and water, under industrial conditions. It complies with the requirement set by the European Union (European Standard EN-13432 – 2000) and that can help packaging manufacturers fulfill with uropean regulations, which will enter into force in 2021 and 2030, at the same time they take care of the environment.

Ftalks19 is an international event to discuss trends and challenges of the food ecosystem through inspiring talks, experts, foodtech startups pitches, and networking. International speakers will be attending among them Sam Kass, Senior policy advisor for nutrition for Obama Administration, Joseph Puglisi, Scientific Advisor at Beyond Meat or Abby Fammartino of AirbnbFood. Among the nationals are Rafael Juan, from Vicky Foods, Raúl Martín from KMZero or Javier Jiménez from Lanzadera, among others.

Our startup, an ITENE spin-off, started in 2015 and since then, our rise has been meteoric. In 2017 we won the honorable mention “Innovation Award in the Economy of the New Plastic 2017” of the prestigious Ellen MacArthur Foundation and more recently, in 2019 we have been awarded as the best startup in the V Investment Forum at ESIC Business & Marketing School, in Valencia.
